This is to my understanding the list of main categories

Main Categories that are under discussion

LEGISLATORS/  Needs more refining If we Stay with the /STATE REP /FED REP/
FED SEN /STATE SEN should we use the abbreviations.

I would use the words senators and representatives. my reasoning behind that
if some is going to search by subject and the do a keyword search for senators. 
If we use the /STATE SEN OR /FED SEN and then type in senators no listing will
show.  If we were to use the word senate and they were to search for senators
no listing would show.  The same would go with /STATE REP and /FED REP.

Next, is PAS/.  On the December 8th conference call there was discussion of
changing PAS to PERSONAL ASSISTIVE SERVICES/

If it was PERSONAL ASSISTIVE SERVICES it would be easer for someone who
is not familiar with the proper abbreviations and terminology.

The next category is SERVICE PROVIDER/.  SERVICE PROVIDER is a lot like IL
RESOURCES/. I would call it a when in doubt category.  If I don't know where
to put this entry They provide a service I will put it under service provider.

I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but I think we can put the entries under
service provider under other categories.

I think that covers all the main subject category questions.  Let try the
subcategories.

Under ACCESS/ some possibilities.

     /EMPLOYMENT
     /TRANSPORTATION (all these entries should fall under transportation)
     /PUBLIC ACCOMMODATIONS
     /TELECOMMUNICATIONS
     /ASSESSMENTS (?)

All the subcategories are possible suggestions, but I only have 4 entries
ACCESS, for all the more entries we might have combine is it possible to have
ACCESS with no subcategories

Under ADVOCACY/ suggestions are
     /INDIVIDUAL ADVOCACY
     /COMMUNITY & SYSTEMS ADVOCACY

If we were to list all organizations that were involved with Advocacy from the
whole country, How many would there be?  If we put them under one category
of ADVOCACY and used the secondary searches by state, county, city, etc. 
Would we be talking hundreds or thousands?  Keep in mind we're just doing
PA.  Could we Just leave the category of ADVOCACY/ and no subcategories. 

ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY/ here are some of my suggestions.

     /BLIND (AT device for visually impaired and/or blind)
     /COMMUNICATIONS (Any AT device for communication aides/devices)
     /DAILY LIVING AIDES (Catalogs that provide/sell AT used in daily living
     /DOGS (Organizations that train dogs for both deaf, blind, or any dog
     used to assist person with disability
     /RAMPS (companies that sell various types of ramps.
     /LIFTS (companies that sell various types of lifts.
     /RESOURCES (BBS, DATABASES, CATALOGS THAT WOULD SELL
     STRANGE THINGS LIKE LABELED ITEMS, PAPER, COMPUTER
     ACCESSORIES) Any resource that might lead you to what you want.
     /SCOOTERS (Companies that sell various scooters)
     /TDD (companies or organizations that would provide relay services)
     /VEHICLE MODIFICATIONS (organization or company that would make
     proper modifications for person with disability)
     /WHEELCHAIRS( Companies that would sell various types of wheelchairs

Note that the subcategories are to separate the large amounts of entries.  The
key even with the multiple categories is to use the keyword searches. create
any subcategory if you have 10 or more.
     

Next BENEFITS/ some suggestions are

     /EMERGENCY SERVICES
     /VA PROVIDERS
     /SOCIAL SECURITY

Any other suggestions?

Next, DISABILITY/ some suggestions are
Here's I look at it.  I would avoid categories like physical physiological.  A
disability is a disability no matter if it's physical or physiological.

Here's some of my subcategories
     /BLIND (organizations that provider programs or services to visually
     impaired or blind)
     /DEAF (organizations that provider programs or services to hard of hearing
     or deaf)
     /HEAD INJURY (organizations that deal with disabilities caused by head
     injury)
     /ORGANIZATIONS (organizations that deal with various disabilities, or not
     so common disabilities)  An example would be National Organization for
     albinism.  Since I only have one I don't make a subcategory, so I put it
     under organization.
     /RESOURCES (BBS, Databases, newsletter articles, other sources that
     would help you find information.
        
Next, EDUCATION/ here are some of the suggestions

     /EARLY INTERVENTION
     /DAY CARE
     /ELEMENTARY
     /SECONDARY
     /POST SECONDARY
     /ADULT ENRICHMENT
     /RESOURCES

Next, EMPLOYMENT/

     /AGENCIES
     /PROGRAMS

I think these are good.  Is the focus going to be on agencies and programs
available for people with disabilities, or everyone.  Either way you can put the
information you need in the notes

Next, HOUSING/ the suggestions are

     /HOME MODIFICATION
     /SUBSIDIZED
     /GENERAL
     /EMERGENCY 
Any other suggestions?

Next, IL CENTER/ here were some of the suggestions

     /NORTH EAST
     /NORTH CENTRAL

I think this would organize the category a lot better.  It would cut down on the
time it would take to do a secondary search.

I guess we would list lawyers who are willing to deal with discrimination and/or
have/provide services particularly for persons with disabilities.

Next, LEGISLATORS/
As I mentioned above possibly changing the subcategories
