We have another opportunity to make our voices heard!

On March 20th, the House Subcommittee on Workforce Protections will hold a
hearing on the Department of Labor's proposed companionship rule changes
(Ensuring Regulations Protect Access to Affordable and Quality Companion
Care).  The disability community needs to make sure that these committee
members know our concerns!  We have set up an alert so you can send
information to the chairman, ranking minority member and key staff.

Let's make sure they know that because DOL didn't effectively engage the
disability community in the development of its proposal, their proposed
changes in federal labor rules, although well-intentioned, will have a
negative impact on people with disabilities and most seriously impact people
who have the most significant disabilities!  Even DOL acknowledged that these
rules have the potential to promote institutionalization!
