I just received this notice from the Massachusetts Office on Disability. If you or any of your PCA'S would like to be heard you will need to call the office of: John A. Daley Executive Secretary Division of Health Care Finance and Policy 617-988-3102 Speak to his secretary Barbara to be placed on Agenda to be heard. Remember this is YOUR PCA PROGRAM ! There is no one more important to be heard from than you. I can not stress this enough. Do not miss this opportunity to be heard. Here is the major details from the meeting notice. The hearing will be held on Thursday December 10 1998, at 9:30 am, Conference rooms 1 & 2 21st floor at One Asburton Place, Boston MA 02108. The proposed new rate will increase pca rates from $7.85 to $9.81 per hour. This increase includes an amount to cover the Consumer's share of state and local taxes, FICA, Medicare, as well as unemployment insurancee and workers compensation premiums. In addition DMA is proposing to increase the pca hourly wage to $8.86 an hour. This represents a salary upgrade for FY 1997,98 and 99 as well as a Consumer Price Index cost of living adjustment through year 2000. Get the word of this hearing out to everybody who has any interest in the well being of the pca program.
