SILC Fall Calendar

The following is the most recent calendar of events to be published by the
Masachusetts Statewide Independent Living Council. If you have any

Aug. 22 Southeast Center for Independent Living 1st Family Fun Day. Scil 
        parking lot at 170 Pleasant Street in Fal River from 1-5 pm. For

Aug 26  New SILC Criteria Task Force will meet in Framingham at the Metro
        West Center for Independent Living. Anyone who would like to be 
        part of this task force needs to contact either Andea Schein or
        Paul Spooner.

Sep. 1  SILC Healthcare Reform Committee meeting at the Disability Law 
        Center, 11 Beacon St, Boston MA; 10 am - Noon

Sep. 2  MRC Regional Advisory Committee annual Mtg 10 am- 4 pm

Sep. 2  Association of Late Deafened Adults Annual Conference, Sep.2-6

Sep. 9  Training on the ADA and Mediation, a NCIL national training 
        project for CIL staff, board members and consummers. This 3 day
        training is designed for people who already have significant 
        knownedge of the ADA. The training will be held in Albany NY

Sep.10  SILC Evaluation Committee, at Metro West in Framingham 1 - 3 pm

Sep.15  Community Access Monitor Training by Mass Office on Disability to 
        be held at Hamilto House, in Hamilto MA contact Morgan Jennings

Sep.18  SILC Quarterly Meeting, Assumption College Hagan Center Hall, 
        500 Sailsbury St, Worcester MA; 10 am - 4 pm . The morning program
        will focus on Managed Caer and Durable Medical Equipment 
        Legislation. Bring any of your stories of success or frustration
        delay or denial so the SILC can build a strong, convinvincing 
        healthcare agenda for change

Sep.22  Norhtern New England Technology Expo, Manchester NH, Hosted by the

Oct.21  New England Regional Independent Living and ADA Training, Outreach
        to minority populations and ILC Leadership conference. Conference 
        will be from Oct.21-23 at the Royal Plazza in Marlboro MA; more

        this event.

Oct.23  Fourt Annual Conference on Rural Independent Living, This is a 
        national conference to be held this year in Shreveport LA. For
